If Luke hadn't of gotten pissed off when he saw Rey and Kylos interaction here-

Would that have changed the course of events at all? because Luke almost seemed excited to see Rey at first, but that excitement turned to anger when he saw her communicating with Kylo.

They would have gotten naked and had weird somewhat tangible ghost sex.

Probably wouldn't have changed anything. Rey's too perfect to not know that she shouldn't join Kylo.

Per the novelization, immediately after Luke reconnected with the force he went to find Rey because he was going to tell her that she was right all along. He was going to go with her and help the Resistance fight the First Order... Help bring hope to the galaxy, etc.

So at the very least, Rey would have likely got a few more lessons from a 'reawakened' Jedi Master Luke, who was actually willing to teach her. We also would have seen Luke *actually* fight Kylo at some point, which would have been preferrable to the projection BS, imo.


...But seeing Rey and Kylo fingering each other in the hut really changed his perspective. ermm
