Kimura is in full "Mashiba busting" form. He trains specially to beat Ippo's in fighting style with outboxing, and is willing to win on points.

Kimura in his unnatural weight class will tire out before dealing any proper damage to Ippo. He will definitively fare decently because he knows his kowai well enough to mess up his timing. He doesn't have an answer for the Dempsey Roll though.
