Impediment
Sin City.

Senor Cage
Watchmen, TDK, V for Vendetta, and Sin City are all in the same bracket.

Eon Blue
Infinity War, Endgame, TDK, Batman Begins, V for Vendetta

BruceSkywalker
howard the duck

everything is pure gutter trash

Dr Will Hatch
The Dark Knight is still the reigning champion.

Patient_Leech
In all seriousness...

Sin City
300
Watchmen
V for Vendetta
Guardians of the Galaxy
Deadpool

I would even mention Hellboy (2019) for its dedication to being faithful to the comics. And of course Infinity War just for the sheer ambition and scale of it all.

Zelax
TDK, V for Vendetta and Watchmen, are the holy grail for comic book movies.

NemeBro
It's a two horse race between The Dark Knight and Logan. Maybe a three horse race after I get around to watching the original Superman again.

Senor Cage
Dang. Forgot about Logan. For me probably:

Watchmen
TDK
Sin City
V For Vendetta
Logan

cdtm
Man of Steel.

They need to put this on blue ray.

The Dark Knight
Watchmen
Superman

Batman 1989

Senor Cage
Forgot Batman 89, too. Such a classic, IMO.

Eon Blue
Watchmen was completely lackluster.

carthage
Lol @ Watchmen being mentioned

Khazra Reborn
Besides the big ones like The Winter Soldier and Infinity War, I really dug Dredd (2012). Also, The Return of Swamp Thing for campiness.

Yeah, that film was trite and sterile. It was pure cookie cutter madness captured on the big screen.

Senor Cage
WM is one of the only comic book films I can watch over and over.

Drsoe08
A History of Violence, Road to Perdition and V for Vendetta

Hard to nail it down to just one tbh

The Dark Knight, Batman Returns, Infinity War, Spider Man 2

all have a valid claim to the throne

howard the duck.. it will always be howard the duck

Yup, Stallone Judge Dredd is fun, too. Just cheesier.

I didn't know A History of Violence was a comic film. Yeah, it's really good. thumb up

Galan007
Dredd (2012) was awesome -- definitely in my top 5 comic book films. How that never got an on-screen sequel is beyond me.

It got sequels in comic book form, but it's just not the same. sad

BoxOfficeMojo.com

That's why. I blame the marketing and the hard R-rating likely didn't help.

There was some pretty serious petitioning to get a Netflix series or something with Urban returning, but I haven't heard much about it in quite a while...

Mask of the Phantasm is ****ing amazing, and is probably the best adaptation of Batman outside of the comic book medium.

Live-action wise? The original Superman, Batman '89 and Watchmen are obvious picks, I would imagine.

From the MCU in particular, I think Winter Soldier, Iron Man and Guardians are the top three.

It has the power of nostalgia, little more.

Flyattractor
Such a LITTLE Liar.

StiltmanFTW
It's nothing compared to great many other Batman animated films.

Flyattractor
Nope. Those are now also just "Nostalgia Rides" now.

You do not get to pick and choose.

Sorry little Guy.

StiltmanFTW
Phantasm was very meh. Deal with it.

Flyattractor
Nah.

You know I think you're pretty nifty, but that's bullshit.

Even if you don't like it, I don't see how you can argue that Phantasm isn't still the best examination of the Batman character any animated movie has done. Red Hood is the closest, and as good as it is, it's still copying heavily from Winnick's arc in the comics.

Loved Under the Red Hood.

I tried, but I really couldn't enjoy Phantasm. Don't get what's so special about it. Other than it being the first.

I will take Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero over Phantasm any day of the week.

Red Hood is excellent, and now that Supernatural is finally ending, I hope Ackles bites the bullet and plays a damn superhero; he'd be awesome at it.

I liked the Freeze one too, tbh. There's very little of the prime Timmverse Batman that I don't think is pretty good. Even the later series' were good.

Gross picks. Holy hell, I just realized not a single one of those are MCU movies LMAO. Also, Into the Spider-verse probably deserves a place in the top 5.

Civil War and Winter Soldier are the best MCU movies so far IMO, but even they aren't as good as any of the movies I picked.

gold slorg
my personal favorites, not objectively the best

1. Endgame
2. Infinity War
3. Captain America: Civil War
4/5. The Dark Knight / Captain America: Winter Soldier
6/7. Thor: Ragnarok / Avengers 1
8/9/10. Guardians of the Galaxy / Thor / Iron Man
11/12. Batman Begins / Logan
13/14/15. Captain America / Spiderman: Homecoming / Black Panther

quanchi112
1. IW (movie centered around Thanos no shocker here)
2. Endgame (end battle was the greatest action sequence of all time)
3. The Avengers
4. Thor: Ragnarok
5. Gotg: Vol. 2

joescott487
I still think that Spider-Man rocks. But, apart from this film, Marvel's Avengers has brought forth some cutting-edge technical skills and one of the best Sci-Fi presentations. Visit for more: https://www.osn.com/en-ae/watch/tv-schedule/listing/comedy
