I think the good Philosophia has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt, that a ring wielder has little to no chance against Thor.

UV Sinestro does. Pretty uber force.

Going by the pic in the OP, current Thor loses. None of his hammers have proven enough damage soak or durability, to match Thaal's constructs/energy blasts.
Worthy Thor, would have been a better fit imo.
