If it has magical properties, it should cut through his skin like paper.

IIRC Slade only has composite nth metal in that armor not the pure thing. Also it has never really been shown how much exactly it amps him. Team should win every time especially since Cage can tank most if not all of Slade's standard weapons, leaving Danny free to do what cdtm dreams about.
