I hope in John Wick 5 the plot is all the dogs of the people/owners he's killed come after him.

They come to Wick's house and live with him forever, enjoying their new-found immortality.

As much as I love dogs, the plot would be Wick has to kill every dog to protect himself, while he cries after every reluctant bullet fired and kicked thrown, because he loves dogs too.

I heard a really good interview with Clancy Brown this afternoon on NPR. He's in this. I've actually never seen Highlander. I of course know him the best from Shawshank Redemption and Starship Troopers. He does a lot of voice acting too. I never would have guessed that he's done a voice for SpongeBob Square Pants all these years.

This is getting some impressive early reactions. I'm trying not to get TOO hyped about it. I still expect some over the top cartoonishness, but that's honestly most big blockbusters these days. I will say that I was quite impressed with Chapter 3's upped action and stunt work. They were clearly having a blast making it. I hope to rewatch 3 soon.

It was initially slated to be released the same day as The Matrix Resurrections

Seeing it probably this weekend

Rewatched 3 and 2 the past few nights. (Going backwards because I wasn't sure if I'd have time to finish them all before I see 4 on Thursday)...

Anyway, I must say I'm enjoying watching them again. I'm appreciating the world building more upon repeat viewings.

3 is a damn near perfect film. If it weren't for that fight in the big glass room going on too goddamn long it would be damn cinematic perfection.

I enjoyed 2 more than I did previously.

Hoping to rewatch 1 again before Thursday.

Just rewatched 1 again last night. It's so good. It definitely has a lower budget feel now, though, compared to the others.

I wish Wick had returned the favor and saved Marcus (Willem Dafoe) so he could have been in the sequels!

The first film is the best of the series, imo. Plot was solid and not overly bloated to where it went into stupidland.

Punk kills Wick's dog, the dog his beloved deceased wife gave him, and then steals his car to add insult to injury. Wick demands payment in blood. /end A straightforward revenge story.

I enjoyed 2 and 3, but they've gotten more absurd as the story goes on.

I see the sequels in a similar way to the Pitch Black sequels. They take a simple plot and add an absolutely ridiculous amount of "out there" lore

Good comparison.

Pitch Black also happens to be the superior film of that franchise, and by a lot.

Just back from this and God damn. Some of the action sequences as just unreal. The Arc de Triumph and the camera above the ceiling scenes in particular. But there's about 10 others that are outstanding also.

This kicked so much ass. I was laughing and thoroughly entertained throughout.

Keanu is king.

So many great character actors, too.

Must see in theaters.

The story is just dumb... Everything John did after the 1st movie was useless. He fought through 2-4 for nothing all he achieved is that he got that scumbag Winston his hotel back but he wouldnt have lost it if John didn't go against the rules. That's kind of a shitty storytelling there...

Was fun ride, the scene with the camera from the top view was a total blast. Second best Film. For me it's: 1, 4, 2 then 3.

I really njoyed the homage to The Warriors (1979), with the black female radio jockey. Was a nice touch.

I used to want to see a prequel (mainly just to see more Willem Dafoe), but I don't think it's necessary to show his "Impossible Task" now since we've seen Wick do so many insane things. Plus Michael Nyqvist died, and it would seem he'd need to be involved.

As for Chapter 5, Stahelski and Keanu have said they're done, but they may end up writing some more ideas down on restaurant napkins.

I was reading that they did have plans for a 5th movie around August 2020 but then things changed, Decided to end Mr Wicks journey at the 4th movie.
