I don't understand OP at all.

Well if it's MCU Thanos, he was susceptible to Mantis's empathic manipulation...

And comic Empath is more powerful than MCU Mantis and doesn't need physical contact.

So Empath can certainly pull out a win against MCU Thanos at least.

Thanos might be able to manifest the Jelousy.
He seems to have a mind on him that handles things physcially only what I want to see here is his power of his mind or emotions going for the knock out if you know what I mean.
Personally I like both characters.
Empath though would be able to like effect automation emotionally and send empathic waves pulsating through his ship.
