In fairness, most of the discussions where Gillard's system is brought up pertain to pre-2013 Star Wars material. Or, at least, I assume so.

I agree with this. Nick Gillard/George Lucas's tiering system is applicable to pre-Disney Star Wars, but not Disney Star Wars.
