As amusing and skewed as that is, some points are actually valid. From a POV at least in the GCW, the Empire were the good guys since they were the established government and the Rebellion was seeking to overthrow it.
Put even further that the Rebellion was full of military defectors, smugglers, pirates and so on, that just makes it seem worse on a surface level.
So technically speaking on a surface level, the Empire were the good guys.
But they only truly turned good Vong War and beyond, abit divided resources between 2 Empires later...but still.

Palpatine was automatically persecuted for his religious beliefs by the Jedi who, with no due process or sanction from the Senate whom they supposedly serve tried to arrest then assassinate their elected leader... these bigoted zealots then tried to brainwash a young boy into KILLING HIS OWN FATHER without telling him the fathers true identity so that there would be no emotions stopping Luke from carrying out the mission then when confronted on it they say that their BS story was true... from a certain point of view.... its really not so much that Palpatine was a good guy more so that the Jedi were pretty evil bastards lol
