Sasquatch could avoid Dr. Doom's control.
Sasquatch could match anyone toe to toe with his size advantage.
Sasquatch size makes him someone who can uproot an enemy.
Sasquatch knows magic and it fears him.
Sasquatch understands science and it obeys him.
Sasquatch is the freedom that America looks up to.

Which was my original thoughts, but Doom was ready for Count Nefaria on the fly, and had an entire team of Avengers held helpless.

If Sasquatch could play with Dr. Doom's mind without getting caught the way Bigfoot plays with people on earth...he'd be able to break the looking glass that Dr. Doom so carefully guards.
