What are some single movies that you think were good enough to warrant getting a sequel (or maybe even a franchise), but never did??

Dredd for sure. They tried to continue that story in comic format, but it just wasn't the same.

I also would have liked another Tron movie, ngl.

Some of those stories i didn't mind, Especially the new take on the Dark Judges in Dead World.

Patient_Leech
Yes, Dredd definitely.

Pandorum is a criminally underrated sci-fi horror adventure with a cult following and was conceived as a trilogy.

Patient_Leech
Alita: Battle Angel - Needs one badly. It seems to be sort of up in the air.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets - It never will, but I like it a lot.

Kong: Skull Island

Spawn

Edge of Tomorrow

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo - Yes.

Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny

The Mask

Beetlejuice

UHF

Borat

Tomb Raider - the new reboot, I liked it. *shrug*

Gone in 60 Seconds - Could have been like Fast and the Furious.

Colombiana - With Zoe Saldana, good little flick.

Point Break - The Keanu Reeves one.

The Last Temptation of Christ - just kidding... sort of.

Patient_Leech
Soldier (1998)

Planet Terror

Con Air - fu#k yeah, they just don't make 'em this good anymore

Team America: World Police - they'll never do it because it was such a pain in the ass apparently

Bound (1996) - by the Wachowskis

Dawn of the Dead (2004)

Super Mario Bros. (1993)

Howard The Duck

Jupiter Ascending - also the Wachowskis, universally panned, but an elaborate Universe with potential

The 6th Day - with Arnold

Patient_Leech
Lockout (2012) - fun guilty pleasure with Guy Pearce

Waterworld - yup, it's great

Reign of Fire (2002)

Escape Plan (2013) - got a sequel but it was crap, deserved better

Ender's Game - criminally underrated sci-fi based on a book

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005)

Stargate (1994)

Spaceballs - needed now more than ever

Serenity (2005)

Predators (2010)

I, Robot

Event Horizon

World War Z
