TOAA vs The Leviathan (The Unwritten)

zopzop
TOAA. Leviathan isn't even the supreme being in it's reality. It was created by another god.

DeadpoolXXX
did the presence from vertigo create leviathan? mmm

No, it was one of the Mesopotamian gods. Ea or Enlil, I forgot which one.

Galan007
Utu created the Leviathan, iirc.

Although Enlil should logically be above it as well.

MrMind
Utu and Enlil should be above TOAA as well

LordGod
So Presence>>>>pantheon gods>Leviathan?

MrMind
unwritten and dc/vertigo isn't in the same verse

LordGod
So the Presence like we saw in Lucifer doesn't exist in Unwritten?

no they have nothing to do with each other

unwritten is completely independent from any of the dc cosmology

mike carey actually wanted to use some dc characters in unwritten, but dc said no.

Diesldude

MrMind
Leviathan is responsible for infinite layers of realities with no top or bottom, wherea each layer reality view the previous one as mere fiction, Leviathan embodies the entire fictional worlds and stories

one of the most powerful being in all fiction

Utu/Enlil are even above Leviathan

Marvel doesn't have cosmology idea on this level

What does this mean? Is it somehow less to be fictional? And if so, why?

Marvel does, or at least used to. It was in an issue of Quasar when an alt reality version of Anomaly Maelstrom knocked Quasar clear out of the mainstream multiverse and into a whole different one completely alien to the multiverse based on 616 reality. It was the New Universe multiverse and in that multiverse, the 616 multiverse was nothing but stories published in a comic :

MrMind
I'll elaborate when I get home

it's a cool fourth world breaking moment, too bad marvel didn't flesh it out and expand on it

that's just one layer view another as fiction. kinda like dc, the earth sbp from is kind of like real world

but Leviathan is beyond that, Wilson Taylor wrote a series where Tommy Taylor exists, a multiverse where mages can add entire dimensions to physical space, where there are magical hyperplanes. Wilson Taylor wrote the entire multiverse into existence. Wilson Taylor exists in the higher world compare to Tommy Taylor but the world Wilson exists in is also just a one level in the stack of cordwood in a barn

stories told by stories made up by the stories to whom we are only stories.
