I would think the PF would need Jean in the White Hot Room, depending on how multiversal of a Trigon we are using.

trigon is multiversal?

Everything is Multiversal. They skipped right past galactic even though that's frigging big af. These comic writers these days should be fired for the BS that they've been peddling. There was actually a time when planet killing was an OMG moment, but now they've gone crazy. Like how the f@#k can you be Multiversal and not be able to see something far smaller like the future that lead to getting your ass kicked in?

the term multiversal doesn't always have to mean wftzomg powa! though. it can just mean someone who has the ability to travel the multiverse--ie--miss america. it's a label that gets thrown around a lot nowadays, though because people seem to think it sounds cool for some reason.... it's like the phrase 'can destroy and create universes.' there's a huge difference between someone who can literally stand in the center of a universe and wipe it out with a display of power vs someone who creates or destroys a universe by altering the time stream to ensure a universe doesn't come into existence.

the terminology and the associated 'rank' that comes from these terms are thrown around way too much, and tend to be given too much credence in many cases. so i want to know if trigon can simply move between universes and conquer some, or if he actually has the power of multiversal destruction by his own hand.

i'm pretty sure it is NOT the latter....

Stoic
With that said, Thor's mom takes this. Guess all that shit about Gaea being him mom was bullshit.

Damborgson
Including all the times he used Gaeas powers lol.

Must've been the Phoenix.

DarkSaint85
For all we know, it could be Mephisto playing tricks.

Adam Grimes
It was Mephisto cosplaying as the Phoenix.

same level threat as spectre

one tenth of his power is able to destroy the universe!

even her daughter raven contained forces great enough to destroy the universe
https://imgur.com/subhpNz
power threaten the fabric of universe itself

universe after universe fallen under his might

he's universal at the least, with argument to be made about being multiversal

i've seen and read most of that but it's good stuff. problem with trigon is the lack of feats. he gets great lip-service, and talks a great game, but when it comes to actual feats he falls pretty flat, which always makes him tough to rank in terms of power. he could be considered multiversal in the sense that he appears to have conquered different worlds and even different dimensions, but in terms of pure power i think his placement in the skyfather tier is pretty accurate. power enough at his best to do the traditional--threaten the fabric of the universe/creation, but not enough personal power i don't believe to actually wipe out a complete universe. could be wrong, but with the lack of feats, giving him more credit than that is tough.

All of that just demonstrates hes multiversal in terms of his plans and the scale of his operations, but nothing to state or demonstrate actual multiversal scale power output.

Raven claims to have contained forces great enough to destroy a universe. Again any evidence or could this be hyperbole? Destroy it outright in one burst of power or through manipulation of other factors?

Going from universe to universe conquering and destroying or spreading influence one at a time isnt multiversal.

Him being placed in the same threat category as Spectre isnt conclusive. They have different roles and agendas. Trigon is inherently evil and destructive so might be more threatening and dangerous than he is comparatively powerful allowing him to be categorised with beings who are more powerful than him for example.

Trigon stating that in his diminished capacity (1/10) he could destroy the universe isnt proof that in hat state he could. Thats him just saying that. In the context of that scene he could just be trying to be intimidating. Did he actually pull off any corroborating feats in that story arc whilst in that same condition?

Reality is a fragile thing. Even the battle of two skyfathers Odin and Seth causes reverberations across the mutiverse and is stated to tear the very fabric of the multiverse (so going even further and is actually visually demonstrated and felt by characters on panel):

So the evidence presented so far doesnt hold up to scrutiny.

Phoenix Force for the win.

Agree on universal/multiversal explanation. There's also a level that is trans-universal. Not sure who used the term first, but I usually see Galan use it. Very good word for not quite multiversal.

The Phoenix Force is Thor's mom? The fuk did I miss? Also, who's his dad? Did Odin shove his thing into the PF?

DarkSaint85
It's Odin as the dad, but......I have my reservations, and think it could be Mephisto phucking with Thor.

Oh I agree, PF is a bonafide multiversal entity that's far much higher in the cosmic totem pole compared to those hell lords like Trigon or Dormammu
