In strength , i would say he is even if you take their end feats when Thor pused the world engine with all the 9 realms connected and Superman took out the highfather's staff.

But yeah that's post crisis and Thor without warrior madness. Still i would say that new 52 Superman consistently had better strength feats. It's just a matter of durability.

No, it was said to be until Thanos examined him and found it was something else. That was the point of the storyline. They kept hammering in WM was incurable and Thor would have to be put down like a rabid dog, a d when Odin was told it wasn't actually WM then he believed Thor could be saved.
