Donnie is no longer US President for most people...

It's all going down now, so let's start with this.

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-campaign-bill-mar-a-lago-albuquerque-collections-agency-2021-4

Trump's campaign still hasn't paid the $211,000 it owes the city of Albuquerque. The city sent the bill to Mar-a-Lago and referred it to a debt collections agency.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely to have authorised attempts to influence last year's US election in favour of former President Donald Trump, intelligence officials say.

Moscow spread "misleading or unsubstantiated allegations" about the eventual winner, Joe Biden, according to a US government report.

He will be 80 then, and embattled with lawsuits. I see him quietly endorsing someone, so as to not embarrass himself with another loss. But he will not endorse Pence or any of his 2016 running mates. Instead, he will endorse some fealty-pledging radical, who will not win the nomination.

Looks like the target is the contract though. MS has it, Amazon wants it.

They seem to be arguing Trump disliking Bezos personally influenced who got the contract, in an effort to grab it away from MS.

I dunno, sounds flimsy to me, but we'll see what happens.

Trump's DOJ spied on his own White House counsel too:

"Last month, Apple told Donald F. McGahn II, White House counsel to Donald J. Trump, that the Justice Department had subpoenaed information about an account that belonged to him in February 2018, and that the government barred the company from telling him at the time, according to two people briefed on the matter.

McGahn's wife received a similar notice from Apple, said one of the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter.

The disclosure that agents secretly collected data of a sitting White House counsel is striking as it comes amid a political backlash to revelations about Trump-era seizures of data of reporters and Democrats in Congress. The president's top lawyer is also a chief point of contact between the White House and the Justice Department."

Trump and Supporters Fall for Internet Scam

Since February, 21-year-old food-delivery driver Josh Hall has posed as political figures and their families on Twitter, including five of Trump's relatives.

Hall pretended to be Trump's brother Robert Trump, Trump's 14-year-old son Barron Trump, and White House coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah L. Birx among others, collectively amassing more than 160,000 followers.

Using their identities, he gained attention by mixing off-color political commentary with wild conspiracy theories, including one that the government wanted to implant Americans with microchips, and another that John F. Kennedy Jr., who died in a plane crash in 1999, was alive and about to replace Mike Pence as vice president.

"There was no nefarious intention behind it," Hall said. "I was just trying to rally other MAGA supporters and have fun."

Many of those "Make America Great Again" followers appeared to believe the posts. Records also show that some accounts served another purpose: directing people to give Hall money.

They promoted a fundraiser for a political group Hall created called "Gay Voices for Trump." In an interview, he admitted that the group does not exist. The fund-raiser brought in more than $7,300.

A GoFundMe spokeswoman said that the organizer behind the fund-raiser had withdrawn the money. She said GoFundMe was now investigating how the funds were used and that the company would give refunds to any donors who requested one.

Hall said he became interested in politics in 2016 when he was a teenager, energized by Mr. Trump. "I kind of thought he was like a clown at first," he said. "But the more I heard him talk, I realized: Yeah, he says kind of off-the-wall things, but I do agree with what he's saying."

He dreamed of becoming a conservative talk-radio host, he said, so he opted against college and decided to instead build a persona online. He sparred with liberals on Twitter, created a "public figure" page on Facebook, and self-published a 49-page e-book on Amazon called Hall Nation that detailed his "38 essential rules to live life in order to be happy and successful." (The first rule? "Insults are a good thing."wink

Offline, he was not so successful. He struggled to hold a job, including stints as a hotel clerk and sandwich maker. Most recently, he delivered food for DoorDash.

But online, he started to develop a small following. In January, he asked followers to help him pay for a lawyer, saying "a Planned Parenthood-loving radical leftist" whom he used to date had accused him of harassment. He also began selling T-shirts that said "Josh Hall did nothing wrong." He raised $815 on GoFundMe. Court documents indicate he is using a public defender. A hearing in the case is scheduled for later this month.

Posing as Rod Blagojevich, the former governor of Illinois whose prison sentence had just been commuted by Trump, Hall tweeted, "OBAMA STARTED THE CORONAVIRUS." The account eventually drew more than 26,000 followers.

Posing as Dr. Birx, the White House official working on the pandemic, Hall tweeted, "The media is lying to you about this virus." The pandemic was "plotted by the powers that be to crash our economy in hopes that Trump will pay for it in November."

Posing as Robert Trump, the terminally-ill brother of Donald Trump, Hall tweeted, "The coronavirus was planned and released onto the world by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation." This account collected more than 77,000 followers from July to August.

Not long after, Hall started messaging Trump supporters as Robert Trump, asking them to donate to a fund-raiser for his fake group, Gay Voices for Trump, according to screenshots posted online by two people who received the messages.

"Hey patriot. Would really appreciate if you have a couple of bucks to spare to organization," he wrote, according to one screenshot.

In August, Robert Trump died. The news drew scrutiny to his fake Robert Trump account, and some of its followers began to suspect that Hall was behind it, given the pattern of tweets between the profiles. In response, Hall said on Twitter that the fake account was run by "a close political friend of mine" who "did not know about Mr. Trump's serious condition."

He then began impersonating different Trump relatives, including Trump's nephew Fred Trump III; Trump's sister and a federal judge Maryanne Trump-Barry, Trump's teenage son Barron.

Posing as Barron, Hall tweeted, "COVID is a scam," and "Q is real. The more the media delegitimizes it, the more it shows that they're scared," attracting more than 34,000 followers in eight days.

Posing as the father of vice president-elect Kamala Harris, Hall tweeted, "My daughter is not who she portrays herself to be. She is dangerous for our democracy."

Posing as Trump's sister Elizabeth Trump-Grau, Hall tweeted, "This election inspired me to break my silence. My brother Don won this election," collecting about 20,000 followers in 24 hours.

Hall delighted many of his followers with dozens more juvenile and bizarre tweets, including claims that Biden is a pathological liar, Harris is a communist, and Michelle Obama is a man.

On November 20th, Hall said he woke up and checked the Trump's Twitter account, as he did most mornings. "I was like shellshocked," he said.

He quickly began bragging on Snapchat that Trump had retweeted his fake account.

"I'm a big Trump supporter, but I'm thinking, 'He's got to know that that's a parody,'" he said. "How does he not know?"

Within hours, the account was outed as a fake.

The Trump Organization, which has spoken on behalf of the Trump family members in the past, did not respond to requests for comment. The White House declined to comment.

A spokesman for Twitter said the company took down all of Hall's accounts for violating its rules on impersonation and evading a previous ban from the site.

Federal authorities have arrested Hall, 22, for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in connection with his "Gay Voices for Trump" scheme.

Last year, Hall boasted that he launched a GoFundMe campaign for the non-existent group. He also started dummy social media accounts for members of the Trump family, and used them to post QAnon conspiracy theories as a means of attracting attention to the GoFundMe. By December, he had raised $7,384.

"Joshua Hall impersonated family members of Trump on social media to fraudulently induce hundreds of victims to donate to a political organization that did not exist, and then pocketed those funds for his own use," U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a statement. "We thank the FBI for their partnership in the investigation of this case, and we remain dedicated to rooting out and prosecuting fraud wherever we find it."

Hall is facing up to 20 years in federal prison.

More than seven months after the 2020 election, Trump appears to admit his defeat. In an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Trump said the results of the 2020 election were "shocking."

"We got them by surprise in '16, and in '20 we did much better than we did in '16," Trump told Hannity. "Shockingly, we were supposed to win easily at 64 million votes and we got 75 million votes. We didn't win. The whole thing was shocking."

Once again, it is all about projection with them.

Trump asked advisers and lawyers in early 2019 about what the Federal Communications Commission, the court system, and the Department of Justice could do to probe or mitigate SNL, Jimmy Kimmel, and other late-night comedians.

During his presidential transition period, Trump lashed out at Saturday Night Live, condemning it as "biased," and suggesting he and his team should be given "equal time."

In 2018, he did it again, blasting the NBC comedy show as a "spin machine," and suggesting that the broadcasts may not be "legal."

In February 2019, Trump upped the ante, raising the prospect of "retribution" against comedy shows.

A month later, he started referring to specific levers of federal power he would consider using to punish comedy programs that hurt his feelings.

Trump confirmed in a statement yesterday "that he believes the show was engaging in 'illegal' activity by making fun of him."

It's all going down now, so let's start with this.

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-campaign-bill-mar-a-lago-albuquerque-collections-agency-2021-4

Trump's campaign still hasn't paid the $211,000 it owes the city of Albuquerque. The city sent the bill to Mar-a-Lago and referred it to a debt collections agency.

"An indictment of the Trump Organization could mark the first criminal charges to emerge from an investigation by the Manhattan district attorney into Donald J. Trump and his business dealings." -snip

Said this for at least two years now, if not longer, but I don't think anyone is going to want to set the precedent where a former US President is charged. So while I hope it happens here, I will only believe it when I see it and it's all said and done.

eat Allen Weisselberg will turn states evidence the second he fears he'll be spending his twilight years in prison and believe me, this man is smart enough to have made copies of important documents throughout the years.

TBF, we can't really blame the shitbird for doing so, as Trump would turn on him just as quickly.

Trump Brags About Not Paying Taxes: "That Makes Me Smart"

I just watched a brief video and created a thread about Trumps legal troubles. I hope the mods are OK with it as they are now a different story to this thread.

I hope they leave this one open.

Trump has released seven press releases so far today in response to news that his former aides are speaking about him to the press. In the most recent, he said, "Many say I am the greatest star-maker of all time. But some of the stars I produced are actually made of garbage."

"Only the best people," indeed, LOL.

Tom Barrack, who chaired Trump's 2017 inaugural committee, was arrested Tuesday on charges that he unlawfully influenced the foreign policy positions of the campaign and administration to advance the interests of the United Arab Emirates, the Justice Department said.

In a seven-count indictment, unsealed in a New York federal court, Barrack, 74, and two others are accused of "acting and conspiring to act as agents" of the United Arab Emirates between April 2016 and April 2018. Barrack was also charged with obstruction of justice and making multiple false statements to federal law enforcement agents.

The trio acted "to advance the interests of the United Arab Emirates in the United States at the direction of senior UAE officials by influencing the foreign policy positions of the campaign of a candidate in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and, subsequently, the foreign policy positions of the U.S. government in the incoming administration, as well as seeking to influence public opinion in favor of UAE interests," the DOJ said.

Barrack was arrested in the Los Angeles area Tuesday morning, according to law enforcement officials familiar with the matter.

No surprise, its well documented Rubert Murdochs son Lachlan Murdoch doesn't like Trump.

It was ironically CNN that was Donald Trumps greatest ally, Fox did nothing to really get him elected.

The legacy Trump has sowed is that of ire and petty childishness. The people that voted him in admire shallow forms of the acquisition of power.

Fox's whole programming was "Someone at CNN said this about dumb thing Trump said."

CNN was the one actually amplifying Trumps words. stick out tongue

So yo are going to re-imagine things. Not surprised.

Fox was/is Trump's personal network. eg Sean Hannity would literally repeat what Trump said from earlier in the day and vice versa.

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings in the fall of 2018 were highly controversial for a variety of reasons, including the scope of the FBI background check that was supposed to be part of the process.

A group of Democratic senators is demanding more answers from the FBI after the agency revealed new details about the limited scope of its supplemental investigation into Brett Kavanaugh's background when he was a nominee for the Supreme Court.

In a June 30th letter to Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Chris Coons that was made public Thursday, Jill Tyson of the FBI's congressional affairs office acknowledged that the department conducted only 10 additional interviews in its supplemental investigation, even though it had received over 4,500 tips.

According to the FBI's Tyson, the "relevant tips" from phone calls and messages were forwarded to the counsel's office in the Trump White House.

What did then-White House Counsel Donald McGahn do with the "relevant tips?" Not a damn thing.

McGahn had no interest in discovering what his handpicked nominee had done, or not done. He had every interest in ensuring that Kavanaugh be confirmed, facts be damned.

If there was any follow-up within the FBI itself, there is no indication of that. And that is the outrage here. The FBI's investigation into sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh was not designed to uncover the truth.

Donald Trump recently said in reference to Kavanaugh, "I saved his life. He wouldn't even be in a law firm. Who would have had him? Nobody. Totally disgraced. Only I saved him. I saved his life, and I saved his career."

This new context from Tyson really explains that quote.

Robtard
Christopher Wray and Donald McGahn better have some very good reasons.

But Trump picked the three Justices he did solely on the grounds that he believed they'd be loyal and "owe" him fealty and take up/side with any cause he wanted. The 2020 election being decided by the SC being Trump's main concern.

In Trump's own words:

"I think this election will end up in the Supreme Court. And I think it's very important that we have nine justices. This scam that the Democrats are pulling - it's a scam - the scam will be before the United States Supreme Court. And I think having a 4-4 situation is not a good situation, if you get that. I don't know that you'd get that. I think it should be 8-0 or 9-0. But just in case it would be more political than it should be, I think it's very important to have a ninth justice." -Trump
