Wasnt sure thought i will ask : did Sidious feign/fake his defeat with Mace Windu in order to turn Aniken to the dark side or did Mace defeat Sidious legitimately and fairly ? What does cannon say about this?

That's the age old million dollar question. No one really knows for sure.

What we do know is that Mace is capable of competing against Sidious (as per Lucas). Although that's likely only in Sabers.

And I Think most would agree if Sidious goes all out with the Force (before being put on his ass) then he should defeat Mace with low-mid difficulty.

And is probably capable of beating him in Sabers as well, but that would be with a lot more difficulty and he may lose some rounds.

Impossible to tell in terms of their sword fight. Strongly sugested that Sidious threw in the Force:

- Lucas admited that Sidious faking to be weak during a lightning sequence;
- ROTS novel: Windu was overhelmed by FL before Palpatine threw the fight;
- ROTS comic: Windu was overhelmed by FL as well and ended being on the ground;

It's important to note that Samuel L. Jackson literally bullied Lucas into rewriting the scene and making Windu badass.

LOL That's actually true. Thought I wouldn't go as far as saying he bullied him.

But He made 3 requests. First that he get a role in the Prequels (he literally begged). Second that he get a purple lightsaber, and third that he go out like a bad ass.

Yeah and He actually asks Anakin for help in both the novel and comic. Think he might have in the script as well, but can't remember now.

Sidious took a knee to force Anakins hand, its as simple as that... You think a guy like Palpatine would allow his decades long plan to be put in jeopardy fighting somebody he could lose to?? That doesn't line up with the character wed known up until that point and there's plenty of evidence on screen to say that Sidious threw that fight
