I think he gets lip service for having the potential to be at that level but he rarely performs at that level. Like the blows he withstood from WWH , how he's a capable stand in for Thor. Even his alt showing vers maestro shows he could be better he just rarely does anything noteworthy.

To caveat my earlier post. The same goes for other high end bricks (high end is not synonymous with elite) like Colossus, Thing, Juggernaut. They are often fodder. Especially in team books where knocking them out catapults there opp. The only brick that doesn't have this issue in Marvel is Hulk. But he rarely faces villains, he generally faces heroes. And there aren't any villainous bricks on his level (abom, rhino etc).
