You know Alex Jones got the vaccine, right? Same with people like Tucker Carlson, they got it, their families got it, but they go on to cast doubts or outright condemn the vaccines because there's an audience who want to hear that particular nonsense and in turn that makes them money.

That number isn't a straight year-to-year comparison, or shouldn't be. In the US we had a bit over 350K covid19 deaths in 2020, but covid19 wasn't widespread coast to coast (including Hawaii and Alaska) right from the start, like it was in 2021, it took time to spread from state to state and then throughout each state. It took a lot of foolery to get from 1 to 350+K deaths in 2020. Remember we weren't even supposed to have hit standard Flu death (less than 30k) numbers according to the downplayers.

Vaccinations are another factor, the first US vaccination was in Dec of 2020, so 2020 didn't have much of a benefit there, while 2021's has had it the whole time. Even though vaccinations have slowed to a crawl now.

Thing is you can clearly see the peaks of excess deaths making the waves in each country. It isn't rocket science, just that pesky maths that Trumpers hate.

Like the US is seeing again.
