Which Marvel characters are most like these DC counterparts.

Superman
Batman
Darkseid
Katara
Terminator
Killer Crock
King Shark
Specter
Captain Atom
Doomsday
Green Lantern ( Hal or any GL )
Conner Kent

The list can be near endless I believe and you can add your own characters to the list of who you think which characters from each company best match up.

StiltmanFTW
Superman - any Superman clone, really. I guess Hyperion is the closest, as some versions of him are literally solar-powered, as far as I know? Atomic vision instead of heat vision, argonite instead of kryptonite.

Alternatively, we could use Sun God, but it was Hickman's lazy writing and just a few appearances.

StiltmanFTW
Batman - The Rider (again, same problem as with Sun God), Nighthawk, Moon Knight...

Darkseid - Thanos, of course

Katara? Don't you mean Katana?

Terminator - Marvel literally had his own Terminator army in 90s X-Men TAS. Alternatively, I dunno, Deathlok seems like a good pick?

Killer Croc - Lizard, but only because of similar mutation - they operate differently.

King Shark - Tiger Shark after mutating further?

Spectre - Black Spectre stick out tongue Nah, joking. Any cosmic being flavour of the week could be Spectre's equivalent, depending on writer's mood.

Captain Atom - Neutron, maybe?

Doomsday - Mangog?

Green Lantern - Projector and Quasar.

Conner Kent - any weaker/less popular Superman clones.

Hmmmm, I always view Doomsday as Hulk turned into grey and with spikes

StiltmanFTW
Katana - Typhoid Mary? stick out tongue

No clue. Probably any chick with a sword. Even Colleen Wing will do. Neither company cares too much about female swords(wo)men development.

Wrong.

Shut up, cdtm.

Unless you want another 30d ban.

Without criteria, I'll go by characterization instead of power set:

Superman - Captain America. The heart and soul of their companies.

Batman - Actually a tough one. There are a lot of prep masters, but as a character, you need an obsessive compulsive control freak with a tragic history. On that count, the closest is actually.. Frank Castle.

Darkseid - No one really. Thanos is a nihilist, most other god villians want power. Darkseid's thing is wanting to erase free will..

Katara

Terminator - Slade? I suppose T'challa is a close analogy, similar ruthlessness, similar penchant for targeted tech countermeasures, similar enhanced human stats.

Killer Crock - Biggest loser in DC, so.. Stiltman. Or maybe Gargan. stick out tongue

King Shark

Specter - Classic Spectre: Ghost Rider.

Captain Atom - General Ross. evil face

Doomsday - Mangog.

Green Lantern ( Hal or any GL ) - Nova Richard Ryder.

Conner Kent - The new kid Nova.

Blue Beetle, for me.

Black Spider comes to mind, but only because of the name and their costumes having the spider/web motif.

Other than that, they're nothing alike. One is a hero, other is a villain. One has powers, the other does not.

Still. It's obvious DC was once again stealing ideas from the superior copany.

For Spider-Man, personality wise I would have said Dick Grayson or Captain Marvel in recent years. Though I'm sure there are better examples.

Yeah, he is identical to Grey Hulk except the spikes..

DarkSaint85
Grey Hulk was intelligent (Fixit) at least, right?

One thing for sure - sometimes, his sense of humour is identical with that of Parker:

Yeah, stuff like that was what I had in mind. That and his kind of... optimistic earnestness that I've seen in what little Spider-Man I've read.

Was actually thinking Dick, what with the wisecracks and being a kid hero. laughing out loud

I think Rey had more of a Parker edge though. Peter Parker actually gets pretty serious when someone messes with him. And Rey did get right in Lobo's face, even daring him to start something.

Plus his life is a complete mess, again like Peter. smile

Wasn't it Priest who did him?

He did a clear Black Panther ripoff too with the Red Lion guy, less about one company ripping off another and more Priest having fun with it because he's awesome.

A Spider Man!

I know Law has no powers, but he has literal webshooters (even though Tarantulas usually spin no webs lol, that he used to tie bad guys up and webswing away), was a tech genius and an acrobat, walks on walls, was called SpiderMan.....

As for the thread, is this in terms of 'powerlevelz!!!' or is it in terms of personality/story/motifs?

lawest9
All of those.

StiltmanFTW

DarkSaint85
Croc is also a hermaphrodite

StiltmanFTW
I've seen your scans laughing out loud

Can't wait for Lifeslash to come back to KMC - just so I can end his life with those scans.

He is the only Killer Croc fan on the planet and his body is not ready for this, not ready at all.

GodofNature
When became Katara a DC character, will we soon see an epic meet-up between Aang and the Justice League?
