Some people often point to the first one, but after playing Super Metroid it obviously copied ideas from that game. So did Metroid Prime 2 copying ideas from Fusion and 3 with Zero Suit. At least Hunters was different, but the controls were weird.
So yeah, what's my opinion? Well I liked the idea in 3 that Samus was on an intergalactic battle. It made her seem important and stuff.
The other games had cool music and game play stuff that made us pumped to defeat the bad guy. Having said that, which was your favourite? Probably playing Metroid Prime Pinball on the school bus to kill time...
