So here we are. We could say based on feats and their battles, that billy is one of the few equals to superman's strength and speed. What do you think? Is this one of the closest battles? Who would win? Post Crisis, New 52 and Rebirth feats allowed.

Outside of the ol' Fawcett comics Billy best feats are stalemating Superman, the magic factor is what helped him in those battles, Clark has better and far more feats.

Besides this thread has been done about a 100 times already.

I'm sorry, but i didn't know if bumping an old thread was ok.

So you think billy is an equal to superman? post crisis at least. maybe new 52 and onwards is a different story. i don't know. i would like to see what people think.

billy has been called a sm equal in strength. And hasn't he been shown to match clark in strength in a fight? I had the impression that he did. If so, a fight without magic involved could still go either way could it not? Was it kingdom come that showed them as equal in raw strengtyh but billy was faster? Maybe there is other post crisis fight i'm missing. I don't know if there is any fight from new 52 and onwards where billy was shown as equal to sm in raw strength, but i would like to know other people's opinion and learn more about this. Which is why i included post crisis, new 52 and rebirth.

Billy is not Superman level. He's one tier below him. He's Wonder Woman or Power Gilr level.

Did there really exist some scans which prove Superman was amped in that scene?

I mean, I just read the entire arc in TPB format to be sure, and I didn't find anything that proves Superman was amped

Interesting. Because she took a blast from that same superman before. And unless i'm missing something. That Superman was amped. WW was never goinmg all out, as she said so herself. She didn't go God mode. But anyway. Back to shazam. What feats put curent version above Post Crisis version?

Supes and Cap have fought quite a few times and the record is even split.

All Star Squadron 36/37 ish e2 pre crisis Supes from 42 fights a cap controlled by Hitler courtesy of the spearnof destiny. First punch caught supes by surprise then pretty even.

All New Collectors' Edition #58 another fight

Jla 137 not a real fight but the cover made you think it was. It was morenlike they ran into each other.

In POS 46 or so there was an issue where they were made to see each other as their enemies and fight.

There were a couple issues of DC comics presents IIRC.

Then there was the one where Eclipso possessed Superman and fought Cap trying to make Cap cut loose so he could take him (something about caps magical body being a better vessel for eclipso)

There was the time the animated series Cap KOd Supes with a magical punch (lightning backed) which isn't canon.

Then there was Kingdom Come

Then injustice.

All that is excluding the 3 or 4 fights with Capt Thunder who was a knock off of Capt Marvel. Only one of those that comes to mind is Superman 276 IIRC.

Eclipso Superman almost killed Cap in Eclipso the darkness within.

First of all. The scans you posted are all from New 52. Which is where God Mode was introduced. Second. God Of War and the rapist amazons were retecconed in Rebirth. The rest is pretty much intact.

Pretty much everything from new 52 has been retconned by rebirth, Diana was never God of War and removing her bracelets never gave her power ups like when Cheetah actually shattered the bracers and shit like that.

I was under the impression that New 52 Wonder Woman was a completely different character than the of post Crisis? Even her origin story as to how she was born is different, unless her mother lied?

Most, if not all, New-52 characters have different origins. But with the repeated retcons, it's simply unclear if the New-52 origins apply or not. It's not impossible. But it looks like Brian Azzarello's New-52 (2011) origin for Wonder Woman was retconned by Greg Rucka's DC Rebirth (2016) origin.
