Yeah. Hes actually been in every FF film to date. Let that sink in.

He needs to be THE MCU villain now. Not just thrown in like in the last 3 or 4 FF films.

Think that would make him perfect. Cant just keep going bigger and more powerful. Thatll get boring pretty quick.

Anyway theyre obviously going for Kang first. Although Doom could play a big part in Secret Wars, like he does in the comics.

the first f4 movie will probably just be an introduction to doom, where he's a lower end threat with the potential to become a lot more- he probably won't be nearly thanos or kang level right off the bat. but it will more then likely culminate with doom stealing some vast cosmic power like he's done ad nauseam in the comics, and then he'll become an uber tier threat that they have to deal with.

and with secret wars also on the horizon, it would make sense for them to use doom in that way (since he stole the power of galactus AND beyonder in the source material).

I mean, I don't know her very well either, but I know she's in the Mission Impossible movies. And she was in the Hobbs and Shaw F&F spinoff which I couldn't bring myself to finish. She had a small part in Jupiter Ascending, which I'm sure jettisoned her career... lol

She's a hot, badass kind of chick. That's my general impression.

Norrin Radd should be the Surfer, not Shalla-Bal.

Yeah it's...there's nothing wrong with Shalla-Bal as Surfer, but this is the origin of the FF. Explaining where they've been in the MCU since the 60's. It makes no sense to introduce a character who wouldn't even exist as the replacement for Surfer without the original. If you're doing the origin, use the original Silver Surfer. Shalla-Bal can be introduced down the line after Norrin has run his course and it makes sense to bring her in to take over. This is like having She-Hulk replace Thing on the team right out the gate with no explanation as to why.

Unless this FF is coming from somewhere else in the multiverse, so their Shalla Bal Silver Surfer could just be the equivalent of a Captain Carter. We know by the time this film arrives, the implosion of the MCU multiverse as a whole should be in progress. They put this plot point in Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, so now it's time to start delivering on it.

Shella-Bal as a Surfer is a established character from the Earth-X story. Who's to see Norrin can't still show up later on.

Then why change it? People want to see their favorite characters on scree, not some shitty knockoff version.

Correct and correct and it's largely irrelevant to Surfer, why I couldn't care less.

I'm more concerned with the accuracy hitting all the right spots at the character's personality and power-set, than what's between his/her legs. As we saw in 2007, correct gender, film was still trash.

Would be like people getting upset because a Latino is cast as Reed Richards, when skin color is largely irrelevant to the character. Speaking of, where's the real outrage over that? Answer: Selective outrage. Pedro isn't that great of a fit (imo), but it's not because of his skin color.

Of all the things to worry about this film, Surfer's gender is barely a blip. The MCU being on a serious downward slide is top concern.

Its just so obvious they're still trying to cash in on girl power and strong female leads and "girls get it done" that they took a great concept and HAD to shove a lady in there even though canonical Sue Storm is easily more powerful than Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch in many ways.

There is no argument you could have to make sense of them using a limited run character who is essentially non-canon and no one knows while you're using the Canon stories and versions of everyone else in the story, when the limited run you use is a girl swap of one of their primary adversaries, turned ally,turned adversary again unless you're trying to hit that "Furiosa, Woman King" demographic. Nobody would've batted an eye if they used Frankie Raye for a girl or Stardust who has one of the dopest concepts of all time.

One of the problems was Carol's entire character has been "she's the strongest and she's a woman" and then suddenly they add in all of her backstory and midstory throughout Marvel's like that wouldn't have made it make a ton more sense if we'd known that she basically caused a societal collapse decades ago and never went back to fix a problem she caused.

The 80s and 90s was full of strong female leads but they were strong people who happened to be women, they weren't strong because they were women. And it didn't come at the expense of everybody else. They were people who had flaws and issues and overcame them to be great. It wasn't just shoved in our faces how awesome they are because they have sweater jubblies.

I disagree, because it was plainly stated and shown that she spent essentially her kids entire childhood on the run, prepping and constantly fighting off time assassins. People who gripe at that point are part of the crowd who are just looking for reasons to be angry and can't find any.
