Ran into this while looking into the Open Societies stance on speech. Am pleasantly surprised.

Isn't, censoring a type of free speech? If I own a business, and you come in being a racist piece of shit, I can use my freedom of speech to say "you aren't going to say that here, you are no longer welcome, and trespassing. Stick around and I'll call the cops."

No, that is a different thing. Elon Musk was threatened by the EU and activists over his choices anyways, so does not apply here.

Arguing against his racism is free speech. That or agreeing to disageee.

The fact that cdtm and his ilk spend so much time and energy insisting that we're going about hate speech the wrong way, is in of itself evidence that we're doing it precisely the right way.
