Not much to say about it yet. Gonna be an obvious team up movie which I'm ok with as long as there is multiple villains.

I didn't bother posting the little 30 seconds of teaser because literally doesent show anything that's going to be from the actual movie but if someone wants to feel free.

Meh. I'd rather see a sequel to Kong Skull Island, which was awesome.

Would be awesome if it's about Godzilla and Kong being a loving couple and they do normal couple stuff like having lunch, house chores, having arguments etc.

They already wrecked San Francisco in the first Godzilla film, so no one would care.

Not sure a couple of gay monsters would destroy the gay city. Maybe the mutos were homophobes and Gaydzilla was trying to save the gays.

Didn't like GvK and this looks like more of the same shit.

Really disappointed that all sense of scale and weight is gone. G2014 had its issues (although I liked it a lot), but at least it felt like two massive monsters fighting. Nor am I fan of pinkzilla. I get that it's probably a callback to Godzilla 2000, but it just looks goofy.

Obviously the new one from Toho will be the better one, I'll still be checking out this movie either way.

-i'm sure some other dues ex machina will be inserted to make the threat seem more legitimate.

Discovering the underground world or whatever it was was kind of cool (however even that was way underused), but the rest of that movie pretty much sucked dirty ass (as Rob would say).

If there is massive monster battles they will be good. This is the opposite end of the spectrum from minus one story wise.

Going to watch cos Godzilla fanboy here and giant monsters fisting each other, but the story looks even worse than Godzilla vs Kong.

I'm going to see this movie either way, But for some reason i'm not that pumped/excited for it.

They sort of tried with the first one. Unfortunately, in usual Gareth Edwards style, all the human characters were one-dimensional and completely boring. So now we get Usain Pink Godzilla Bolt and Infinity Gauntlet Kong.

I don't even care about the pink. Anyone who enforces gender roles on an asexual Kaiju (except for 1998 abortionzilla who laid eggs) is a fvcking retard, so I'm thrilled about all the tears. Yeah as amazing as The Real Ghostbusters episode on Call of Cthuluh was, he went down way too easily.

Godzila Singular Point could work maybe, or that weird Shin Godzilla live action show, he evolved into literal god like Zillas there. In fact the director of Shin Godzilla confirned he would have eventually BECOME all of existence.

Odds the next instalment has Godzooky get better by the day.

Saw this Saturday. Was lots of fun with some nice and inventive monster action.

Human characters are just there to get back to the monsters. Kong is the protagonist with Godzilla more in a supporting role.

I just saw it, as a massive Godzilla and Kaiju fan I enjoyed watching it with the kids I didn't particularly like the movie that much though I thought the fights were underwhelming like always. Someone just give me some money to make a f****** Godzilla movie.

While the script for the human characters left a lot to be desired, the King fan service was cool. Also it seems Godzilla and the other Titans apparently hate Spring Break given the destruction in Rome and Rio

The 90-something% audience score for this does not give me high hopes when I see the 91% audience score on Godzilla vs Kong (which I thought was pretty much utter shit).

But maybe this uses that hollow earth idea a bit more fully?

It's certainly gotten better reviews than any of the Monsterverse films which is something I guess.

Minus One is a classic-style Godzilla flick. If you enjoyed Godzilla (1954) and up to the mid 60s films, you'll enjoy it.

Though frankly, Minus One is better written than those other films save maybe Godzilla (1954).

This film was pretty bad, it's written for the kid to mid-teen crowd.

Which is a shame as Godzilla and Skull Island where proper fun for everyone. Even KOTM tried a bit.

Shin Godzilla was f'n amazing. It was nothing like the 1954 style aside from the rubber suits, but it's nothing like anything, it's in a class of its own.

This movie is doing better than expected, like I said it's an amazing time to be a Godzilla fan right now. Two movies within a year, one of them up there with the best of the Godzilla films. There's a book and some comics out.

But most importantly Godzilla almost killed Superman in one hit at that.

This is dirty ass, as Rob would say, and I even set my expectations pretty low. I only watched the first 40 or 45 minutes and every second the human "characters" (if you can call them that) were on screen I wanted to kill myself. I can't believe they brought back the podcast guy from the previous movie for a big role. He's horrendous.

That being said, some of the Godzilla and Kong stuff is cool, although even some of that is really bad, too. I laughed pretty hard when Kong started swinging the baby monkey and hitting the other apes attacking him and miraculously the baby was completely unharmed. It would have had dislocations and broken bones galore, unless this crazy hollow earth species has far greater resilience with higher gravity or something? Idfk..

So much wasted potential here. They should have let the director of Kong Skull Island take the reigns of this series. Then I think we might have had something much less horrendous. Even my 7-year-old son didn't have the patience for this crap. I may finish it at some point, just to see how much worse it gets, but we'll see. I have much higher priorities.
