I'd be really interested in hearing the reasoning for how the team wins this when it is populated by a bunch of characters who have more or less the same powerset as him but either noticeably far lower or, in the case of Homelander, is so much weaker that Clark has more strength in his fingertip than Homelander has in his whole body while flying at full speed.

Honestly its because Shazam is on the team. He should be able to give Kal some issues on his own. The others piling on should be enough. They arent his equal, but they arent slouches either (well maybe Homelander as you mentioned).

Clark vaporizes them

I wish Jupiter's legacy had kept to the comic.

Shazam solos even though he sucks as a character.

Shazam doesn't have nearly enough good showings in his films to be near par with Superman, this team loses hard

Who says DCEU Supes has a weakness to magic? Besides that, Shazam use of anything truly magic in output is very limited.
