Robtard
Recently read that the election date is being pushed up and that Nigel Farage will be running, despite previously claiming he wouldn't, which is expected to screw over the Tories even more?

FalconPaunch!
Labour is going to win, that is almost definite.

Robtard
Your Tory asses finally getting the boot.

Reform UK is just the renamed Brexit Party. It'll be funny if they have the same manifesto as the BP as a lot of it was actually quite radical left wing. Of course, it was a complete pack of lies to try and be "populist" but it was still interesting reading.

No extension to the Brexit transition period
No privatisation of the NHS
Reducing immigration
Cutting VAT on domestic fuel
Banning the UK exporting its waste
Providing free broadband in deprived regions
Scrapping the television licence fee
Abolishing inheritance tax
Scrapping High Speed 2 (HS2)
Abolishing interest on student loans
Changing planning to help house building
Reforming the Supreme Court
Reform the voting system to make it more representative
Abolish the House of Lords
Making MPs who switch parties subject to recall petitions
Reform the postal voting system to combat fraud

I giggle at the UK's milkshake attacks, so odd, but hilarious.

Is any party for privatization of your NHS?

Who do you currently ship your trash to? Hope it's not China, as they just turn around and dump it in the ocean.

jaden_2.0
Both the Tories and the last Labour privatised parts of the NHS.

China doesn't take waste anymore. They haven't for a few years because they realised recycling isn't economically beneficial. Everyone now ships to other far east countries. Vietnam being the biggest now. They also just dump it in the ocean.

It's funny when westerners of a certain political persuasion say that China was a far bigger polluter than the US. Ignoring the fact that it was western country's waste they were dumping. Out of sight, out of mind though.

Robtard
Didn't know it was partially privatized, thought it was full government aka "socialist!" run.

Aye. indeed.

jaden_2.0
It's things like private contractors for medical waste disposal, distribution of medication to pharmacies, other services like that and then a big chunk of social care that's privatised (care homes for people with no savings usually run as small businesses)Taxpayer funded and private companies bid for the contracts.

Libdems might make a come back...

Reform the postal voting system to combat fraud That's literally what they've done, but Farage admits he won't win and nobody takes it seriously. It's simply an anti-immigration party to oust out the Tories.

What's insane is how seriously the media and politicians take them "It Could Have Been Acid!!!"

Yup, because this election is just an anti-Tory one. Not a pro-Labour one (although Labour will inevitably spin it as that when they get their super majoirty).

Yup, because this election is just an anti-Tory one. Not a pro-Labour one (although Labour will inevitably spin it as that when they get their super majoirty). It's pathetic. I watched the Bolsover candidates and the Labour candidate was a joke. The question was about education and she talked about how she's a mum with children and slagged off the Tories, didn't even answer the question.

Imagine if the Libdems or Reform actually win or get more seats than Labour... hmm That would be embarrassing. Finally defeat the Tories but still the leader of opposition. laughing out loud

They literally don't answer anything.

There is a potential race for the number 2 spot. Although I have a feeling some of the worst case scenario polls for Tories wouldn't actually happen in reality. But nice to dream.

The scary scenario however is if Reform and Tories combine for the next election. They would probably beat this current Labour, given Labour excite nobody nowadays.

He's trying to show his relatability and sense of humour lately and it's just so lame.

Raynor? Yuk. Although she obviously has way more personality, she's a total sell out. I'd like them to give Andy Burnham a chance.

But no one will get a chance as Starmer is about to get a massive majority so from their perspective there will be no reason to replace him.

FalconPaunch!
You do realise he's just a Blair puppet, right?

I don't see him winning a second term, and even if he does, his resignation will be inevitable. He'll probably quit by 2028, imo.

Starmer or Burnham ?

Depends how long he wants the job tbh with the kind of majority he will secure.

In terms of winning a second term, depends if theres an opposition left !

Hope so. But that same party turned on Corbyn for the opposite reasons (see The Labour files on YouTube).

Plus Starmer has mostly done away with that side of the party. The candidates he has chosen to stand will likely side with him.

They will need a real threat from the outside for the inside to topple him.

FalconPaunch!
The difference is, libdem, Tory and reform are right leaning but the labour left are to the point of claiming jk Rowling is not a real feminist. They're ****ing mental.

Finally was able to do my vote for policies quiz. I got an almost 3 way split between the SNP, Labour and Lib Dems.

I guess Greens, even though I can't vote for them, were less because I'm heavily in favour of nuclear energy and they are not.

FalconPaunch!
It's a shit quiz, tbf.

jaden_2.0
I've not had much time to read up on any party's manifesto so it was the 1st time I've used it where I wasn't able to immediately identify the parties when reading the policy information for most of the categories. Only a few were obvious (like the policy on national service)

FalconPaunch!
I suspected the banning of trans-genderism in schools was a UKIP Reform policy, and I didn't pick it. I disagree with transgenderism on a personal level, but it aint my body, so go do what you want.

FalconPaunch!
I think the Reform Party are leaning more left wing than the Tories, hence the popularity.

Robtard
Tomorrow's your big day, you boot the Tories out.

FalconPaunch!
oh yeah, for sure!

Could even be a race for 2nd place.

Not excited at all about PM Starmer on Friday. But am looking forward to seeing how the smaller parties do. Could end being an Anti-Tory day all around.

FalconPaunch!
Tories are hated, that we can predict.

Still the opposition unfortunately.

Lib Dems did better than I thought. Like literally record breaking numbers for them. And all their leader had to do was go around bungee jumping.

You heard wrong. We've simply replaced the older trash with newer trash.

FalconPaunch!
I voted liddem, but my constiutency went for labour.
