Solid director and cast, but it looks like something I've seen more than once. Will watch though.

The action and violence won't be something you've seen much like before. Evans is top tier when it comes to that stuff. Arguably better than Chad Stahelski.

I'd expect Raid and Raid II level action, yeah? Maybe he'll outdo himself, which is something to really look forward to.

Sam Hargrave comes close, if you've seen his Extraction 1&2 films. Solid action start to finish.

The Raid movies had better fight choreography but S1 of Gangs of London (in particular the traveller encampment and farmhouse scenes) are just ultraviolence. It took the shootouts and bloodshed up several notches.

Maybe I'll watch then when I finish my current shows/season.

I hope there is no much violence in this movie. Gonna see

Oh shit, the director of The Raid??

And a good cast. I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Watched this tonight and it was every bit over-the-top and epically violent as I'd hoped.

It has a bog standard, seen it a million times before corrupt cops, drug deal gone bad plot.

It starts with an absolutely awesome car chase, calms down for 40 minutes to establish the bare bones story then explodes into brutal John Woo style ultraviolence for the remainder of the film.

The city feels like an even grimier and violent version of Gotham City.

Most of the reviews seem to think it's supposed to be taken seriously but I just watched it play out with big shit-eating grin on my face and utterly stupid the action scenes are.

Great movie.
