Obi-Wan may have kept it (he kept QGJ's poncho after all- it is in Obi-Wan's hut in ANH).

There has always been a fan rumour that Luke built his ROTJ sabre out of parts of QGJ's old one found at Obi-Wan's hut.

that would explain the resemblance between the hilt of qui gons saber and lukes saber. and the blades, both green. i wanna say something else, but......nah, i gave my word. no EU here.
