I'd rather be - Alan. He's a (pseudo)doctor, mooches off his brother, doesn't pay bills, his son is very low maintenance and he occasionally gets hot, though somewhat unstable women.

I find Al Bundy more miserable, but Alan is probably more pathetic. I would much rather be Alan than Al though. Al's life sucks, mostly because of his demon spawned family.
