The lightning has never killed anyone. Light sabers is a valid point but they have discs along with superhuman strength and athleticism.

I never said it won't hurt them but it has yet to kill a human directly by force alone.
While his lightning is going at the combatant the other disc will hit and kill him. Leaves him vulnerable.
