He had a few close calls early season though. Granted, in those instances, he was either still badly injured or drugged.
One thing that this season did drive home again is the extreme amounts of punishment Matt can take and keep on trucking. Hell, just between Bullseye and Fisk, he probably took enough damage across the season to kill 20 people.
I mean Dex could do this as a kid:
Matt took multiple projectile shots to the head from adult Dex (including a baseball to the temple during the news office fight) and kept fighting.
