The song is written by Dan Balan who is(was) one part of the trio of the Moldovan boy band O-Zone(Radu Sarbu and Arsenie Toderas are the two others) . A man called Lucas Prata wrote the english lyrics for the english version and they called this version Mai Ai Hee
