Asteroid TU24 comming closer
Theres´s been a lot of panic making going on is some areas about this asteroids trajectory and that it could hit the earth around January 29th, 2008.
It probably won´t, but nevertheless an interesting subject. I wonder If you can see the object when it comes closer.

Well, if it was going to hit, we'd have about a week or two before it!
I have always wondered what would happen if an asteroid really was going to hit earth - would newsreaders report on it until the last second, or would they go out and get pissed like the rest of us, and go out in style? 😛

I see your point. Sometimes, I wish 9/10 of humanity were destroyed in an instant. I think those things when I see Paris Hilton being covered on the national news on multiple national stations for days on end when there are a lot more important things to be covered in the world other than a white-skinny-rich-****. Why do news stations do that? Simple, dumb ass humans largely lack perspective...but that is my opinion.
It may happen eventually...on some level. (Humanity's virtual destruction.)

If it is so horrible then end yourself.
I hate emo's on forums and in general who go on with the "maybe (insert bad event here) needs to happen to help straighten humanity out"
It would be a good solution to the middle east nightmare which looks like it´ll go on for eternity. In the long run it´d probably save lives, although it would be disastrous.
This object is larger than the one that caused the Tunguska event.

Its not going to hit Earth but come rather close in astronomical terms.
But don´t hold me to that I havn´t got a big enough telescope to see it.
Theres seems to be a bit of confusion in the last two posts about "aim is getting better"??
There is ANOTHER Asteroid known as "2007 WD5" which is going to come near or maybe hit Mars on Jan 30th. It has nothing to do with the earth one.🙂
And no idea where Jupiter came into the discussion, maybe because it was hit in 2004, fragments of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 smacked into Jupiter, creating a series of overlapping fireballs in space.
