Can wiki's really be trusted?

The problem with fan wiki's is how its a website that anyone can edit. It does not help how a random person can say something is non-canon and has no evidence to back them up to prove it. It can get worse when the people that edit wiki's try to force in their own personal fanon just to act like its the truth.

I prefer encyclopedia or dictionary books with official sources that are from real companies.
