Making Custom Smilies

I made one right and i try to put it in custom smilies and it says:

only alphabetical characters allowed. with .gif extention

its annoying me and i try everything!

what is the name of the smilie-file? 😐

potc smilie

with a space in the middle?

change it to potc_smilie.gif and try adding it again.

a space is not an alphabetical character...

how do you make custom smilies? cos I don't see it in the FAQ's

Make a .gif image using Paint, Photshop, PSP etc, then upload it.
Can't quite remember how to upload it though.

I've got macromedia fireworks. But I can't be bothered. Should there be a link to the custom smilies on the pages?>
