the words urban comedy are the Aids virus to hollywood. Friday...next friday...the friday after next. Ok, i can stomach the fact of next friday (not without a heartburn) But how the fu.ck to you explain friday after enxt? Okay, when you have a movie (Hair Show) with a character called Lime Pimp and a featured actor named E-40 you know it's not worth sh*t. I am just treating movies like this the same way I would movies like Princess Diaries or other movies catered to the cinema-illiterate. That method is called Blocking out of my Mind.
Cory...The guy I carpool to work with is from Minnesota. He likes ice fishing there and the Vikings. Other than that, he moved here to NC.
Not everyone has intellect or a sense of humor. ie,the people who enjoy these movies.Most of my black friends hate these so called urban comedies. they think it exploits black culture in an ignorant embarassing way. They say many people like them because they are black and feel they have to.

What's so funny about double standards, self segregation and self parody? If anything, the all too common, and at times accurate, portrayals of African Americans in these movies should be a wake up call to some.
