The movie exceeded all my expectations, I think the script was a bit rushed.
The book was better obviously and I think instead of a movie it should've been a mini-tv series.
I thought it was awesome the way it interpreted the way Chile's social class is divided by the skin colour, and I find it absolutely ludicrous those people that argue the cast are too white for the roles, anyone who has any knowledge at all about southern-south american countries knows most chileans and argentinians are white.
I specially liked Winona Ryder's acting, I don't usually like her but she succeeded in portraying the role of the politically and sexually rebellious Blanca Trueba.
I give it a 9/10!
