The Great Wall- Jet Li next film
Sweet merciful crap. Yuen Woo Ping announces that he's preparing for a big-budget movie titled Chang Cheng [The Great Wall] about what else? The Great Wall of China. Even though the script, a story about repelling attacks from the Huns, or Xiongnu/™±“z, from the North, is not even finished yet Yuen has been meeting with the backers of the film to present his vision.
Local Chinese papers have noted that Yuen has asked Jet Li to be the leading man in this picture. While Jet Li has announced Fearless as his last martial arts movie, Yuen Wo Ping believes that it was but a casual remark on his part, "He has such great skills in kungfu, wouldn't it be a waste not to use them?" He believes that as long as there is a good movie, Jet Li would accept a martial arts role again. Yuen has said that it would be an action film, the action would take up about two thirds of the film and that he is sure Li will accept his offer. The two have a long standing history and friendship with each other, having produced some of Chinese film's most exciting and memorable moments. Therefore, it doesn't matter that Li announced he would not do any more Wushu films because this would not be a Wushu film.

Fearless' is his last 'wushu' movie which is a defined genre for movie that explores the philosophy and spirit of wushu. He will continue to do other genres like modern action movie, wuxia movie and historical epic etc.

Okay, I'm kinda of confuse here. They advertising this film as Jet Li's final Martial arts film. Yet, they're not saying is his final film. What else is Jet Li good for then? Certainly not a great actor. He's defenetly a martial arts movie star. If Jet Li actually works with Yuen Woo Ping in another martial arts movie and he's the star....I'll get on line for that movie.

Jet Li said that Fearless was his last "Chinese epic" movie. But I hope he has a change of heart.

He isn't making any more movies about 'wushu'. He's next movie is going to be 'Rogue', which will be an action movie.
