Fantastic 4: rise of the silver surfer

Too much chromey shine imo.

I know why you'd wanna make a thread out of this. I'm well into CGI and graphic design, and was surprised how bad it looked.

The thing is, it is just a chrome character, and there's only so much you can do with it. We have seen lots of them in cinema over the years...but there has to be improvement, and there can indeed be visible improvement in this effect...either in the reflectivity, shine, distortion, etc...if anything though, this is a step back. It looks really cheap (and the bad compositing in the tunnel makes it look even worse).

Whats up, Peeps. I love the Silver Surfer. I have FF#48-52 stored. I've seen the FF2 trailer. Surfer looks very very good. Hopefully the movie will be as good as the trailer looks.
