I know most will say that Batman Begins was the better reboot because Batman and Robin destroyed the franchise. But alot of true Bond fans were unhappy with Die Another Day and were happy to get Brosnan out of the role.
1. Which was the better reboot to their respective franchises?
2. Which was the better movie all-around?
I remember watching Casino and being more into following the action and what the characters were doing (especially the poker game that was intense) whereas with Batman, once he got back into Gotham the story was not as interesting as when he was with Ducard etc.
Batman Begins for me all the way. I felt Casino Royale was a step back in the franchise to be honest. Still, I'm looking forward to the new Bond movie.
I think both movies did a great job at revitalizing their franchises. Although i liked Brosnan as bond. The bond movies he starred in were ridiculously bad. I think Batman begins did more for the batman franchise than royale did though. The Batman franchise was threatened with a do or die movie. Bond movies will always be around.

Both have kinda given a new lease of life for both respective franchises, yet frankly Batman Begins kicks the nuts out of Casino Royale as a film.
Casino Royale bustles about with a lot of baggage and unconfident footing, really, it pales in comparison to some of the Bourne films. I think the swagger of a good new Bond gave way in the end to a dodgy third act. Batman Begins doesn't suffer from any of that malarkey.
Batman was a better reboot, because as noted, the non Tim Burton films lowered the bar so low, that the franchise didn't have anywhere to go but up.
Casino Royale was a (slightly) better film than Batman Begins, though both were great and both were one (if not the) of the best movies put out for their respective years of '06 & '05.
See, i think the third act of casino royale was solid and consistent with the rest of the film. I felt that the ending for begins was rather anti-climatic and rushed.

I adore both films, but Casino Royale comes out on top for me. If BB didn't have Katie Holmes in it then it would have been perfect. Very happy with MG in the role now for the next Batman film.
