donnie brasco
its got johnny depp in it...always a hit with the ladies
the departed
road to perdition
the untouchables
they're some of the better, less violent, more chick friendly mob films

Casino would be a good one to start off with as it isn't that dark

Try The Sopranos.
Best. Series. Ever.

Johnny Dangerously.
My Cousin Vinny, actually. Good way to move on to Goodfellas.
Also, the original Godfather is intelligent, well written and has excellent acting and only scattered scenes of strong violence spread throughout the 3 hours of the film.
Plus, it's a draw for showcasing young Robert Duvall, young James Caan, young Diane Keaton, and young Al Pacino in his first starring role. That should help generate some interest.

I dont think the Godfather would be a very good first mob flick to watch with it beng 3 hours long. I'd say Goodfellas, Casino etc even some Sopranos, then if she likes it move her on to the heavier stuff like The Godfather 1, 2 just never ever watch the third lol

I think Wisegal or Donnie Brasco!!! Wisegal is a bit girly but not too much. I saw it this weekend. Alyssa Milano was pretty good. Donnie Brasco has Johnny Depp in it. Need I say more. LOL.

So classy women can't enjoy films like Goodfellas...
Instead of The Departed, show her the original film Infernal Affairs first, and if she likes it, show her the other two in the trilogy.
One of my favourites is Abel Ferrara's The Funeral, definitely one to see.

Try the Godfather. Its a "mob" film yeah, but its easily the most engrossing and exquisite.
