High definition rendering?

Hey I am curious if you guys are aware of any good high definition renderers.

You see with my HD cam I would really like to get the best possible picture when I render any certain vid with my computer.

rendering normally with avi or wmv is alright but I would like to know if there was something that could blow those 2 out of the water.

Thanks for your help.

At my job, we use Edius to render and edit most of our newscast video. I have no idea what the program costs, but it looks friggin great on my HDTV at home. I shoot on a Grass Valley HD Cam, set to record MPEG2 files.

You can get a free trial version of Edius here. It's always nice to try something before you buy it, too bad prostitutes don't employ this business practice.
