I know Michael Bay had turned in a script, but this thread isn't about that. How would TDK have been had it been directed by someone other than Nolan, like lets say Scorsese?
'
If Bay would have directed TDK, it would have been fights with close ups that leave very little to the imagination, car chases with explosions that aren't needed and a love story that would somehow try to survive in an action movie.
And, to be honest, would the Dark Knight be the Dark Knight without Nolan? It'd be completely different, especially if we're ignoring Batman Begins too...
I'd love to see Fincher direct a Batman film...

^ Good call. Fincher would be great for the Batman franchise, and would presumably have the guts to make an R-Rated Batman film.
It's impossible to fully predict how a Batman film would be had it been directed by a different director, but I can think of several that would do a great job (though the film would've been considerably different). Yes, Scorsese is one of 'em.
Apparently Fincher was close to doing a Batman film (the one that ultimately became Batman Begins) and also nearly got to do Spider-Man. I'd love to see his take on a superhero film. However, he does seem to be about to do a load of comic stuff. He's supposed to be doing Torso (or "Ness"), The Goon, Black Hole and Heavy Metal!
