3D like it or hate it?

We are getting bombarded with 3D movies, so i was wondering who likes it and who hates it? also is it just a fad as it was in the early 80's?

Me personally it's only good for specific movies. TRON LEGACY comes to mind. And certain parts of AVATAR. but for the most part i would rather watch the movie with a nice crisp digital picture in 2D.
James Cameron has said it's the way of the future, why in the hell would i want to watch every show in 3D either with glasses or not?
Also you will be able to buy AVATAR in 3D in december but you have to buy the TV that Cameron likes in order to get it!!!!! So if you already have a 3d tv you are screwed.

3-D sucks shit covered balls.

It's not a fad and is here to stay, unfortunately. There's massive amounts of $$$ to be made off it. eg +30% in ticket revenue for 3-D movies in my area.

I'm not a general fan of it. I don't hate it, but I don't exactly enjoy it either. A lot of times it looks like shit.

I cannot stand this money gimmick grab. It will work for some films and it should only be used for that.

3D in cinemas is for the most part rubbish, Avatar being the only good example I have seen.

3D at home is a a total waste of time imo.

I don't like it mostly for the reason it makes me feel terrible after only a few minutes, so it's worthless paying to see a 3D film for me.

But I'm not going to moan about the fad because there is always a 2D version of the film to see.

As for 3D televisions, they will be a failure.

If given the choice I will see a digital 2D movie over 3D any day.
The one exception may be tron.

People are probably going to ask what is wrong with me, but the only reason I want to see Tron is because Daft Punk did the score for the movie.

Avatar was good. But it wasn't the "pop-out right at you" style 3-D. Obviously all of these shit movies being made in 3-D just to attempt to sell tickets is lame. But Tron: Legacy looks real....

Not keen on the idea at all. I think stories will suffer with rubbish being included simply to accomodate 3D.

I just want to watch the story, i find that 3d takes you out of the story cause you are focusing on the thing floating by your face. and most of the 3d stuff feels forced eg. avatar when worthington turns around with the spear and it's in your face.
Terminator in 3d will suck, i'm not the one about to be shot by the gun i'm going to care more about the person on screen that is actually getting shot.
