going by whats on Phil's Youtube channel, the feature is done but not yet available to see (or purchase) as a BluRay until after the festival screenings.

I watched a video with Phil Tippett recently and it seems like to me that's he's kinda done doing aliens and robots, Just wants to move on doing other stuff with his skills.

It's supposed to arrive on Shudder this summer...

i haven't signed up Shudder, But i've seen it doesn't cost alot to do so

Stop motion is hard to do not just building a mold of something but moving it gradually, so it looks like it's actually moving.

He probably used a fiberglass mold and made with silicone rubber. I love the first character, looks so similar to Belial Bradley Haha.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to checking this out.

I'm more of a Jim Henson vs. Tim Burton

I've seen a lot of animatronics to know how they are made. The last doc film that used animatronics, that I saw was the remake for Dark Crystal. I will watch this for posterity reasons..

I've watched some of this. Haven't finished it yet. It's got some wicked cool visuals. I really enjoy the stop-motion stuff, but when the live human characters come in it kind of ruins the effect.
