Everyone knows the sci-fi mainstays of 2001, Blade Runner, and Alien etc. The same can be said for the horror classics that formed franchises in the 80s like Nightmare on Elm/Friday the 13th, but what about the cult films? What are some of your favorite cult/lesser known sci-fi and horror films from the past?

Trying to think of some good ones, but the first one that immediately comes to mind is Fright Night from 1985. It works both as a comedy and a horror movie, and I watch it at least every couple of years.

I forgot about that one. It's one I've been meaning to go back and watch again. It's weird and symbolic, but I sort of liked it. I'm familiar with the guy who did the sound/music for it and it's very him (Lustmord or Brian Williams), very creepy/ominous and distinctive.
