Life of Jesus (Martin Scorsese)

Apparently Martin Scorsese is going to do another Jesus movie, but it's mostly "present day"?

That sounds cringy AF, but hey, the man did one of my all-time favorite films, The Last Temptation of Christ, so I'll try to keep an open mind...

I'm just baffled as to what the hell this story is about if it includes present-day and how it can possibly not suck.

I guess I need to look up the book it's supposed to be based on...

There was a TV show in the UK called The 2nd Coming about Jesus in modern times and it was absolutely tremendous. It's a good 20 odd year old now but if you can find it somewhere I suggest giving it a watch. Here's a clip.

That's just the guy's Manchester personality. There's some very dark stuff in it. People with silver eyes who are possessed by demons. It's written by the showrunner who relaunched Dr Who and this show was why Christopher Eccleston got the role as the first Dr Who in the new shows.
