Threepio stays in one piece through the whole film
This is a first for a Star Wars movie. In every other Episode Threepio gets broken in one way or another. I thought that was supposed to be a running gag through each move, just like the line "I have a bad feeling about this".

Stayed with Padme' instead of Jar Jar, so Lucas didnt get a chance to beat him up for that reason.
