If I had Quidditch through the Ages I'd be able to say.

They have both male and female Quidditch players.

At least as many as there are in the Football world cup.

4. How many teams are there?

Countries which aren't really countries eg Transylvania have their own teams so a great many.

Then, Quebec has a team of its own? And Quebec is considered independent by the International Wizard Confederacy (or the governing body of Quidditch)?

Canada has 3 teams. Moose Jaw Meteorites, Haileybury Hammers, and Stonewall Stormers.

These are the professional teams. Maybe there are some amateur teams into which Quebec and British Canada (Canada without Quebec) take their players for the World Cup.
