Luke on Dagobah "something familiar"

you'll remember the scene in ESB

Luke
"I don't know, theres something familiar about this place.
I feel like.........."
"feel like what" squeaks Yoda.

what was that about, any ideas?

Most likely he had a preminission about being there... Being a force sensitive he's not immune to seeing the future.

Anakin can see into the future in his dreams.

So can Luke.

LUKE: "Still...there's something familiar about this place. I feel like...I don't know..."

STRANGE VOICE: "Feel like what?"

LUKE: "(looking at the creature) Like we're being watched!"

----

YODA: "...This one a long time have I watched...

Being watched by Yoda is a familiar felling for Luke.
It has been going on a long time.
stick out tongue
He is in the presence of another Force-user - Ben has already begun his Jedi training, he is aware of such things now.
It's that simple really...

from the evidence of in the prequels Ani could only see the future when it involved the death of his wife & mother.
eg traumatic events to people close to him.
Luke had a traumatic vision while Han was tortured on Bespin, but that was in (real time).

the point i'm making is that Anakin didn't see random visions of places he would go to in the future (according to prequels) so I must assume that Luke didn't either.

YODA: "Through the Force, things you will see. Other places. The future...the past. Old friends long gone."

I've just realised how much that dovetails in with Qui-Gon Jinn too...
